The Slosberg Report

The Slosberg Report is a weekly thirty minute news magazine show about Israel. With an American host, providing an American perspective, this all-English programming has begun to make its mark on the South Florida scene.

The Slosberg Report produces some of the best original factual television programming about Israel. The meaningful content connects its viewers to what makes Israel special: the people, the places, the business, and the politics.

Each 30 minute episode contains four segments with topics including the upcoming Israeli elections, Israel's advanced development of a practical electric car, why successful Americans have been emigrating, the global attraction of the vibrant nightlife, and of course the current escalating conflict with Hamas.

AIPAC Offices Closed for Rosh Hashanah Holiday
In observance of Rosh Hashanah, the Jewish new year, AIPAC offices will be closed through Friday, September 10. Offices will reopen and regular website updates will resume on Monday, September 13. U.S. Bans German-Based Iranian Bank
The Treasury Department blacklisted the Iranian-owned, German-based bank European-Iranian Trade Bank AG, citing its support for Iranian companies involved in weapons proliferation,�The Wall Street Journal reported. The move bans the bank - known as EIH Bank for its German initials - from the American financial system. "As one of Iran's few remaining access points to the European financial system, EIH has facilitated a tremendous volume of transactions for Iranian banks previously [blacklisted] for proliferation" said Stuart Levey, the Treasury's top counter terrorism official.

U.S. Applauds Japanese Sanctions on Iran
The United States applauded Iran's decision to impose sanctions on Iran, noting that the decision "will deepen Iran's isolation from the international financial, industrial, and energy sectors and protect Japanese banks and businesses from Iran's ongoing efforts to conduct illicit activities."

Mullen: Iran's Nuclear Effort 'Unacceptable'
Chairman of the Joint Chiefs of Staff Admiral Michael Mullen on August 26 called Iran's efforts to achieve a nuclear weapons capability "unacceptable and incredibly destabilizing," according to a Defense Department news report. Speaking before business leaders and students in Michigan as part of his "Conversations with the Country" tour, Admiral Mullen said that the United States�is "working hard" to ensure that Iran does not acquire a nuclear weapons capability because that "will be very bad for all of us."
